These small motors can be powered by any DC(direct current) source like battery or solar cell with the voltage range 0.5 to 6 volts. It is the common general purpose motor for science projects and it can also be used as a small DC generator. Provisions are provided for easy attachment of wires to the motor. A plastic propeller which can fit this motor, can be brought separately.
